Where tradition
meets innovation.
Every YirehMex tile is hand-poured in Athangudi using pigment, glass molds, and a century-old process — no two batches are ever quite the same.
A century of handwork, not machines
Athangudi tiles take their name from the village in Chettinad where they're made — hand-poured, one at a time, using local sand, pigment, and glass-plate molds instead of kilns or presses. The technique has barely changed in a hundred years, which is exactly why the tiles still look the way they do: slightly uneven, richly colored, and warm underfoot.
YirehMex works directly with Athangudi's artisan workshops to bring that same handmade character to modern homes — as flooring, feature walls, and custom color runs designed with architects and interior designers.
